The primary focus of ArmadilloCon is literary science fiction, but that's not all we do -- we also pay attention to art, animation, science, media, and gaming. Every year, dozens of professional writers, artists and editors attend the convention. We invite you to attend the convention especially if you are a fan of reading, writing, meeting, sighting, feeding, knighting, and all the other things folks do at a sci-f/fantasy convention.

The history of Fan Expo Canada begins in 1995 with the launch of the Canadian National Comic Book Expo which was not held in the spacious South Building at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, but at the impressive Roy Thompson Hall (where scenes of X-Men would later be filmed) that would accommodate the approximate 1,500 attendees. Back then, there were only five guests who included Bernie Wrightson and Bill Sienkiewicz.

Our fans make the Expo what it is today and to reflect its scope, the five genres; Comic, Anime, Science Fiction, Horror and Gaming, were re-branded and merged to become Fan Expo Canada. Today, Fan Expo Canada is the country’s biggest, the fastest growing and one of the largest events of its kind in World!

PAX is a a annual gamer festival held in Washington state, PAX was created by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, the authors of the Penny Arcade webcomic, because they wanted to attend a show that gave equal attention to console gamers, computer gamers, and tabletop gamers.

The Portland Retro Gaming Expo is an annual convention to support the hobby of classic video game collecting. We aim to recognize the history of home video game systems and their authors, manufacturers and players.

Nuke-Con is a not-for-profit, all volunteer, organization dedicated to promoting the positive social, educational, and entertainment aspects in all types of gaming hobbies. Once a year we host a family-oriented 3-day convention that attracts people from all over the country. We also run several one-day game days during the year
